Not at all. If you walk, bike or play golf to stay fit , you should not have any problems on our trips. We walk simply because we believe it is the best ways to get a true sense of the region you’re visiting. Each trip is graded by level which will give you an indication of the daily physical requirement and the type of terrain you will encounter.
Throughout Europe, there is an intricate series of antique waterways of canals and rivers meandering through the countryside. Once used for transporting cargo, the barges now plying these preserved canals are floating boutique hotels, having been lovingly refurbished to offer small groups a boating experience, interesting sightseeing. Known as “barges”, this type of vessel carries only between 20 to 40 passengers.
While the boat is travelling to the next harbour, you set off on your cycle ride, over mostly quiet paths and lanes and past all the interesting sights. The daily cycling distance varies – depending on your trip – from around 25 to 60 kilometres. Every day you will have lots of time to go sightseeing, explore the towns and villages, enjoy a break at a café or visit one of the many museums en route.
Each of self-guided cycling and walking tours is a complete and affordable vacation, tailored specifically for active, independent and curious travelers who demand exceptional value and flexibility.
